Rhodes has served churches and religiously related nonprofits for over three decades. His experience includes serving for eight years as a Senior Vice President for Horizons Stewardship and currently holds the title of Expert in Residence for Planned Giving with the Company. He previously served as Chief Development Officer for the United Methodist Church Development Center, where he oversaw development activities of eight United Methodist Church ministry agencies, including annual, capital, and planned giving.
As Campaign Director for the University of Tennessee, Rhodes raised over $150 million for the Institute of Agriculture as part of the $1 billion “Campaign for Tennessee.” Rhodes has also served as the Director of Development for the United Way (Knoxville and Oak Ridge) and Carson-Newman University.
As a seasoned fundraising professional, Dr. Logan has expertise in capital campaigns, major gift solicitations, planned giving, annual giving programs, and development communications. After completing his undergraduate work at Carson-Newman University, Rhodes earned his Master of Arts in Political Science, and his PhD in Higher Education Administration at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
He is passionate about his service to local churches and religious non-profits. Rhodes has served churches and nonprofits in the Methodist, Presbyterian, Episcopal, Lutheran, and nondenominational traditions.
Rhodes and his wife Amy have been married for 30 years and live in Nashville, Tennessee. In his free time, he strives to be the best possible husband and father to his two adult children.
